Cloud Management: Examples of Cloud Software Coming of Age

Still wondering of the cloud is viable enough to finally make the leap? As Bob Dylan famously strummed, “You don’t need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.” Just stick your finger into the wind. You can only trust cloud management as far as the big wigs trust it. Let’s take a look at who’s using cloud software, and what kind of information is being connected through a hypervisor, and how reliable and secure those connections really are.

The Big Apple

The entire City of New York recently switched all its databases to cloud software, hosting all government websites via cloud management, and it saved the city a bundle. The program pays for itself in just a few years, and keeps paying the city every year after that. New York City, of course, is no stranger to terrorism. If they’re willing to trust their key government entities to the security of a hypervisor, the security is quite likely air tight.

Amazon, Google Cloud

Amazon recently launched a music store via the cloud, allowing users to store their own music in the cloud and access through any Internet connected device. Google followed suite, though it only allows you to host your own music without actually purchasing through the cloud due to copyright concerns. The bottom line is these major Internet players have moved their infrastructure to cloud management.

The Banks

Very soon, most banks will be hosted through cloud management. Companies are rolling out cloud software that pays every attention to security, ensuring that the world’s largest banks can host their systems in the cloud. Cloud technology has come of age, and one of the chief concerns that has been addressed is hypervisor security. The cloud is here. Find your place. Cut your costs. Do more than ever before.
